Currie's Gratitude 2 May 2013

Even when it is hard, heck, even when it is downright impossible, one thing I know to ALWAYS BE TRUE is that there is wonder.

The tricky part is staying open to it without BEcoming the butt of every joke or inference to someone living with her head in the clouds.

Stay Open To The Wonder is, or has on occasion been, a sort of mantra for me.

Sometimes the World’s big gigantic messiness has utterly overwhelmed me BEfore I even realise I’ve stepped into its current. Home, quietly living inside my own little Life, I can forget all about The World…

Lately I have been riding the bus, same bus, same times, 3 days a week. This is oddly bookending my days with exposure to so much that I don’t usually see. Mostly I stay in my seat and retreat within my book or some music on my Zune.

Sometimes, though, I tune out what’s playing in my earbuds and watch the people, the driver, the interactions on and off the bus.

It is this very watching that lets me notice that other people aren’t all that different, either from me or from each other.

And that is, somedays, all the wonder in the World for me.

Staying open to the wonder. It really is that simple…

I love you, Currie

I loved people watching on the bus...well, anywhere. People tended to chat with me sometimes, too. Interesting rides. :)
