New experiences are fresh ideas full of possibility.
And sometime they are deafeningly dull, slow, plodding, and
downright impossible.
Whichever way I see it, from whatever perspective, or
“through a glass darkly,” I want
to welcome the new with exuberance.
A funny word, exuberance is one which I define visually
rather than with words. In fact, I have often said that if you look up the word
Exuberance in the dictionary, what
you will see is Gracie.
She welcomes the new [and the old, tried, true, and never
EVER forgotten] with a mix of JOY, relish, deLIGHTfull expansion, and genuine
excitement.
She crouches into herself and then springs off, running,
growling like a running brook on a summer’s afternoon.
She will circle and spin
then launch herself into spin after spin.
I never cease to BE energised and inspired by her antics.
I
try with every fiber of my BEing to BE that way myself.
And yet I oftener fall short.
Landing awkwardly in Fear or
Doubt or Resistance.
When I notice this, I have usually been mired in muck
awhile.
I’m NOT that quick that I catch myself BEfore falling.
Still, it is worth the effort, often multiplied, to welcome
the new in me, my Life, and my World with as much exuberance as I can muster.
I love you, Currie

I could picture it. Mature dogs seem to have a lot more energy than cats--LOL! :)
