Can miles truly
separate you from friends... If you want to be with someone you love, aren't
you already there? [Richard Bach]
I don’t think for a second that I am the ONLY ONE who ever
catches herself wanting. Without a specific something that I can point to and
say THAT IS WHAT I WANT!!
But I could BE wrong.
When you are
discontent, you always want more, more, more. Your desire can never be
satisfied. But when you practice contentment, you can say to yourself, 'Oh yes
- I already have everything that I really need.' [Dalai Lama]
Since I moved into the Wee Casa [which is odd as it is hardly
“wee” though I canNOT quite Let Go of the idea of wee, so, it’s relative] I
have been amazed at how little I need.
On the other hand, I have been most amazed at my capacity to
want. MORE. And then I come back to myself and I realise I have all I need and
far more than I could possibly want.
I think wanting is a terrible habit I have developed after
60 years of having things, too many things. And during those years seeing
things BEcome accessible faster and easier…
I’m working on Wanting NOT. On seeing the Enoughness round
and within me.
I love you, Currie

You are a better woman than I. Whenever I move to a new place, especially, there are always things I need (or want) to settle into the new surrounds that are different from the last place. And I am constantly getting art and craft supplies--LOL! But, we do not NEED all of the things we want. I do know that and have had much, much less. ;)
