Currie's Gratitude 1 September 2013

Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase. [Martin Luther King, Jr.]

What I can SEE and what I know, trust, BElieve, and have faith in are rarely all the same. For instance, I can SEE Right Now that there are “unforeseen” delays in making my move. Things are not progressing on MY timetable or WHEN I WANT them to.

And still, I know all is well and all will BE well. In other words, Currie’s timetable does NOT equal Life’s or God’s timetable. So BE it.

We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass – grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence… We need silence to be able to touch souls.  [Mother Teresa]

I have learned many important things these past 7 years. I have learned to BE alone. I have learned to BE quiet. I have learned to SEE BEyond what is right in front of my nose. And most of all I have learned to live in faith and trust, always, always, always

It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see. [Henry David Thoreau]

So very true…

I love you, Currie

And don't you find that your perspective changes over the years, too? ;) What one sees depends on what direction they're looking.
