Currie's Gratitude 28 September 2013

People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within. [Elisabeth Kubler-Ross]

There is no explanation needed for why I so love the word Light. It deLIGHTs me. It has a multitude of meanings and applications, NOT one of which is in the least bit troubling for me. I love that in a word. I’d like for that to BE something I could say of myself, too. Perhaps one day…

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.  [Martin Luther King, Jr.]

It is no small thing to equate Light with Love, especially in terms of capabilities.

It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness. [Eleanor Roosevelt]

While I agree, when I look at my BEhaviour in certain situation, I still DO a little too much of “cursing the darkness.” I have noticed this especially with some of the details of my move AND the dealings with “the public” out in the wider World. I’m going to light more candles though. Starting Here. Starting Now.

To love beauty is to see light.  [Victor Hugo]

Simpler says it the very best…

I love you, Currie

I especially loved the first two quotes.
Light and love do seem interchangeable, don't they? :) :)
